When we initially decided to try sturgeon fishing on the Fraser, we looked for a guide who would give you the experience of a lifetime. Well we got the guide, Mike Neufeld. Our first trip out he educated us on the boat, the tagging program, the rods and the technique of catching a sturgeon. What he couldn’t teach you is how to reel in the “big one”, you had to experience and learn that one on your own. Mike is an awesome guide, he knows the Fraser and where to find the big sturgeon, Mike ensures you bring in the fish on your own and will take photographs if you want. Mike also has an awesome sense of humour which makes for a fun day. We have now been fishing with Mike for over 10 years!
